- Salmonella contamination. Two Fi dog supplements may be contaminated with Salmonella from an ingredient supplied to Fi's manufacturer. Infected dogs may be lethargic with diarrhea (sometimes bloody), fever, and vomiting; some infected pets show no signs but can still shed the bacteria.
How to Check Your Package
Find the printed code on the side or back of the bag, can, or pouch — usually stamped near the best-by date and labeled "Lot," "LOT," or a date code. Compare it against the affected lots and dates listed above. If the printing is smudged or you can't find a code, treat the product as affected and contact the company with your receipt before feeding it.
What To Do If You Have This Product
- Stop using the recalled supplements and check the lot number on the bottom of the jar: Fi Calming Supplement lot 26118 (UPC 8 50064 80011 1) and Fi 8-in-1 Formula lot 26159 (UPC 8 50055 11168 4).
- Seal the container tightly and dispose of it in the trash — do not pour it down the drain or return opened product to a store.
- Wash your hands and any bowls, surfaces, or storage areas that contacted the supplement.
- Dogs with lethargy, diarrhea, fever, or vomiting after eating the supplement should see a veterinarian; mention the possible Salmonella exposure.
- Contact Fi at 1-888-434-3647 (7 days a week, 10am–8pm ET) or support@tryfi.com with questions, and report adverse events to the FDA at fda.gov/reportanimalae.
